Introduction

This guide will introduce you to the Docman iWorkflow system, which enables you to forward documents to relevant staff members for viewing and actioning electronically. This is intended as a replacement to the movement of paper documents around the surgery, increasing efficiency and effectively eliminating clinical risk due to loss/damage of documents.

iWorkflow is a dynamic workflow system that uses pre-defined workflow routes to make the workflow process quicker and more efficient.

Accessing iWorkflow Maintenance

iWorkflow is set up on install with a number of default actions, comments and groups. You can edit these items, or add new items, in Maintain Lists.

You will need to log into Docman as a user with the permission to access the Maintain Lists section. This can be the default ADMIN user or any other user with access to Maintain Lists.

Click Settings on the Docman main menu, then click Maintain Lists.

The SmartUI workflow section consists of the Recipient groups, Comments, Actions, Templates, Quick Steps and the workflow Views.
