Changing Workflow Implementations

Introduction

This document will guide you through changing your Docman Workflow Implementation.

There are three workflow implementations; Standard (with two different styles available) and iWorkflow.

Sites moving from Standard Workflow to iWorkflow need to change their Workflow Implementation to take advantage of the new features and benefits available in iWorkflow.

Sites may also wish to switch from the old Standard Workflow to the new "SmartUI" Standard Workflow, and can follow this guide to do so.

Workflow Implementation Menu

The Workflow Implementation menu is in the Docman Administration module.

Click here for a guide to getting into the Docman Administration module.

 

Log into Docman as a user that has access to the Administration module, and click the Settings tile.

Then click Administer System.

The Docman Administration module opens.

From the Administration module main menu, click Configuration and Integration then Workflow Implementation.

The Workflow Implementation screen opens and presents you with three options.

Standard Workflow is the standard workflow screen.

Standard Workflow with SmartUI is the new look of the Standard Workflow screen, containing the same features with a fresh new look.

iWorkflow with SmartUI incorporates the fresh new look Workflow screen with single-click actions and quick steps.

Once you have selected your preferred implementation, click Save.
