Other Ways to File Documents

As well as document scanning, Docman presents a number of options for importing documents from elsewhere on your PC. These could be documents scanned via another source, or documents from emails.

Drop A Document Here is a desktop icon created upon Docman install.

Dragging a file onto this icon then releasing begins the filing process, bypassing Batch Manager.

Batch Manager also has a Capture drop-down menu with options to import a document from elsewhere on your workstation.

Capture Existing Document opens a Windows browser, allowing you to navigate to a specific file for import into Batch Manager.
Web Page URL prompts for a web address. It then imports the website or image into Batch Manager.
Import Entire Folder works in a similar way to Capture Existing Document, but allows you to import an entire directory of documents.
Import XML Batch is used as part of Docman's Export function. More information is available on this function in the Import From XML batch guide
